Okay, so I bought this adorable fish-themed crinkle book for my niece's first birthday and WOW - it's a total hit!
The colors are super vibrant and the different textures (crinkly pages, soft octopus legs) kept her engaged for way longer than I expected. That mirror feature? Genius. She kept making faces at herself like a tiny narcissist - hilarious to watch!
What surprised me most was the quality. The stitching is really sturdy even when she went full teething-mode on the attached ring. Though fair warning - that ring does detach pretty easily when baby goes Hulk-mode on it.
We haven't machine washed it yet (just spot cleaning), but the colors haven't faded at all despite all the drool attacks. It's become our go-to car seat toy - though I keep it clipped inside the diaper bag after reading about the detachable ring situation.
For $15? Absolute steal compared to other sensory books we've tried. Only wish it came in more themes because now I want to buy their whole collection!
