Just got my YoLink starter kit and wow, this thing is slick! Setup took like 5 minutes - plug hub into router, scan QR codes, boom done. The app's actually nice to use (shocking for smart home gear).
Tested by splashing water near my basement water heater and got alerts INSTANTLY on my phone. Like faster-than-I-could-curse fast. The LoRa range is insane - sensors work clear across my property where WiFi would never reach.
Love that it keeps sending alerts every few minutes if water's still detected. No more 'missed the first alert' panic moments. Alexa integration was stupid easy too - now my Echo shouts 'WATER LEAK IN BASEMENT!' like it's the apocalypse.
Only gripe? Had one sensor show as connected when it was actually in my work bag across town. Took hours to realize it wasn't really online. But for $100-ish? Way better than coming home to a swimming pool in my living room.
Pro tip: Get their siren add-on if you're not always glued to your phone. That voice alert scared the heck out of me during testing (in a good way).
