Okay, so I just finished Onyx Storm and my emotions are ALL OVER THE PLACE. Rebecca Yarros really said 'let me ruin everyone's sleep schedule' with this one.

First off - the dragons? Iconic. Tairn's sarcasm alone deserves its own spin-off series. And Andarna's glow-up? Chef's kiss.

The Violet-Xaden dynamic had me like:

- Screaming into my pillow during their spicy scenes
- Throwing the book across the room (gently!) during their fights
- Full-on SOBBING when... well, no spoilers

World-building was *chef's kiss* though I did have to keep flipping back to remember who certain side characters were. Pro tip: Keep notes like you're studying for a fantasy lit exam.

My only complaint? The cliffhanger ending that left me staring at my ceiling at 3AM questioning all my life choices. When's the next book coming out again?

10/10 would recommend (but clear your schedule first - this is a one-sitting kind of read).
