First impressions matter, and the Nalax Badminton Set delivers right out of the box. The carbon fiber rackets are incredibly lightweight—so much so that my shoulder didn’t ache after an hour of playing, unlike with heavier metal rackets. The ergonomic grip feels natural, and the oval-shaped sweet spot made my hits more consistent, even as a beginner.
The set includes three shuttlecocks, which held up surprisingly well during backyard rallies. However, one minor gripe: the glue on the shuttlecocks wasn’t perfectly neat (a small cosmetic flaw). But for casual play, they performed just fine. The carrying bag is a nice touch—perfect for tossing in the car before heading to the beach or park.
I tested these with my family, and everyone from my 10-year-old niece to my dad loved them. The blue racket felt slightly head-heavy (great for power shots), while the red one was perfectly balanced for control. The carbon aluminum frame feels sturdy, and after a few weeks of use, there’s no sign of warping.
Downsides? The plastic wrapping left a sticky residue on one handle (easily fixed with tape), and if you’re a serious player, you might want to upgrade the shuttlecocks. But for $40? This set is a steal for casual games, gifts, or travel. It’s reignited our family’s love for badminton—rain or shine!
