Just got my hands on the Heine Gamma G7 after years with the Gamma 300. Here's my honest take:
First, the good stuff - The cuff material feels more durable than older models, and one-handed operation is definitely smoother. The gauge is easier to read too, which is great for quick measurements.
But here's where it falls short... The pressure release mechanism is frustrating! Unlike my trusty Gamma 300 where I could control deflation precisely, this one feels clunky. It's nearly impossible to do that smooth systolic-to-diastolic transition that made measurements so efficient.
Biggest disappointment? The cuff bladders! My decades-old Gamma 300 cuffs are still perfect, but the G7's started deteriorating way too soon. For a premium German product, this durability issue is unacceptable.
Final verdict? If you can still find a Gamma 300 in good condition, stick with it. The G7 has some nice upgrades but loses key functionality that made Heine great.
