Okay, so I finally upgraded from my tinny computer speakers to these M-Audio BX5 monitors for my bedroom studio setup. Let me tell you - what a difference!

The sound clarity is insane compared to what I was using before. The 5" Kevlar cones actually deliver some proper bass (though I had to dial it back a bit - surprising for small speakers!). The silk dome tweeters make vocals and high frequencies super crisp without being harsh.

Setup was stupid easy - just plugged into my audio interface using the included cables. Love that you can switch which speaker is the master. The acoustic space control is a nice touch for my weirdly shaped room.

No Bluetooth? Actually a plus for me! I edit videos and can't deal with latency issues. These give me perfect sync every time.

Are they pro-level monitors? Nah. But for under $200? Absolute steal if you're starting out or need decent sound on a budget. Way better than any 'multimedia' speakers in this price range.

Only gripe: wish the power switches were on the front instead of the back. But hey, they look slick in all black and don't take up much space on my desk.
