Okay, so I bought this mini water heater for my RV bathroom, and here's the real deal.
First off, installation was surprisingly easy. Just followed the manual, used some Teflon tape (like they suggested), and boom - had hot water in 15 minutes. The ABS shell feels sturdy, and I like that it's IPX4 waterproof since my RV bathroom is tiny.
Now about performance: It definitely doesn't give you boiling hot water. At full flow, I'm getting around 95°F which is perfect for washing hands or quick rinses. But if you want shower-hot water, you'll need to reduce the flow significantly. The temperature adjustment works fine once you figure out the button hold trick.
The safety features are legit - no worries about dry burning or overheating. And it's crazy how fast it heats up - like 3-5 seconds for warm water compared to waiting forever from my main heater.
Would I recommend? If you need instant warm (not piping hot) water in a small space and understand its limits, yes. But if you're expecting traditional water heater temps at full flow, look elsewhere.
