I recently purchased the Allied Go Army Veteran Grave Marker to honor my grandfather’s service, and while it has its pros, there are some quirks worth mentioning.
The first thing I noticed was how striking the gold-plated Army medallion looks—it catches the light beautifully and adds a dignified touch to the gravesite. The 30-inch height makes it visible without being overwhelming, and the polycotton flag feels sturdy enough to withstand light weather.
However, I ran into the same issue other reviewers mentioned: the medallion is hot-glued to the pole. Mine arrived intact, but after a few weeks outside, it started wobbling. I ended up reinforcing it with epoxy, which solved the problem. It’s a shame such a meaningful product relies on flimsy adhesive.
The flag itself is decent quality—no fraying yet—but it’s attached with staples, not sewn. For the price, I expected better craftsmanship. That said, sliding it into the ground was effortless, even in firm soil.
Would I buy it again? Yes, but with tempered expectations. It’s more about the sentiment than durability. If you’re handy with glue or brackets, this marker can be a touching tribute—just don’t expect heirloom quality.
