Okay, so I finally caved and tried these Amazon Essentials dress pants after seeing them everywhere. Verdict? Surprisingly solid for the price!

The expandable waistband is GENIUS. After holiday feasting or bloated days, this feature saves me from unbuttoning my pants under the table like some cartoon character. The classic fit gives enough room to move without looking sloppy.

Material feels decent - not luxury wool obviously, but way better than expected. Wore them to back-to-back Zoom meetings and they didn't wrinkle into a crumpled mess. Major win for us WFH folks who still need to look present waist-up.

Now the not-so-great: pockets are basically decorative. My phone sticks out like it's trying to escape, and forget about carrying anything thicker than a credit card in the back pockets. Also had to size up because the waist runs slightly small.

For $30 though? Absolute steal compared to department store prices. They've become my go-to 'need to look put together but don't want to try too hard' pants. Already ordered two more colors!
