First off, I gotta say these walkie talkies are pretty nifty for emergencies. The NOAA weather alerts are a lifesaver (literally), and the solar/hand crank feature is genius when you're off-grid.
The sound quality is decent, but don't expect crystal clear comms - there's some static when you push the range. In my suburban neighborhood, I got about half a mile before things got fuzzy.
Love that they float! Perfect for kayaking trips. The LED flashlight with SOS mode is brighter than I expected - used it during a power outage and it worked great.
Biggest gripe? The plastic casing feels kinda cheap. I wrapped mine in duct tape for extra protection (and to make it look more rugged, lol). Also wish the range was better - 100ft indoors is kinda disappointing.
Pro tip: Download the manual online since it doesn't come with printed instructions. Overall? Solid 7/10 - great for preppers or outdoor enthusiasts on a budget!
