Okay, so I finally got my hands on this 'Automotive Technician Training' book everyone's been talking about. Let me break it down for you real quick.
First off - the good stuff: The theory sections are actually pretty solid. If you're prepping for ASE tests, this could be helpful. Covers all the major systems in decent detail.
BUT... (and this is a big but) the execution is kinda messy. Like, why include diagrams if you're not gonna label them properly? There's numbered components with no key - super frustrating when you're trying to learn.
The print quality feels cheap too. For the price, I expected better paper and binding. And don't get me started on Chapter 10 - all those blank graphs for sensor waveforms? Total waste of pages!
Honestly? You might be better off with YouTube tutorials unless you really need the book format. Three stars because it has potential, but needs serious editing.
