Just finished Dr. Nigrini's book and wow - this is NOT your typical dry accounting textbook! The way he explains Benford's Law makes complex concepts feel like detective work. I actually caught myself laughing at some of his real-world fraud examples.
The black-and-white printing threw me off at first (looks like it was meant to be color), but the content more than makes up for it. As someone who works in auditing, I've already used three different tests from Chapter 4 on our client data with shocking results!
What surprised me most was how practical this is - not just theory. The 'day in the life' forensic accounting scenarios helped me understand applications I'd never considered. Though fair warning: the math-heavy chapters require coffee and concentration!
If you're expecting a light read, this isn't it. But if you want to seriously up your fraud detection game? Worth every penny. Already recommended it to three colleagues!
