Installing the Solity GT10K was a weekend project I didn’t dread—mostly. If you’re replacing an existing deadbolt, it’s a breeze (20 minutes tops with a screwdriver). But if your door needs adjustments like mine did (hello, misaligned strike plate!), expect some trial and error. The auto-lock feature stubbornly refused to cooperate until I tweaked that plate—annoying, but fixable.
The touchscreen is snappy, and I love the voice guidance (multilingual too!). Setting up PIN codes was confusing at first—why does the lock accept '7771234' if '1234' is the real code? Turns out, it’s a sneaky anti-spy feature. Quirky, but clever. The app lets you manage temporary passwords for dog walkers or guests, though the interface feels like it was translated one too many times.
Durability? No complaints. The lock survived my clumsy installation attempts and feels solid (IP54 rating means rain won’t faze it). But skip the magnetic sensor if you’re privacy-conscious—I did. And while 'Designed in Korea' sounds fancy, the lack of origin labeling bugged me.
Verdict? Great for tech-savvy homes on a budget, but align that strike plate perfectly—or prepare for auto-lock tantrums.
