Okay, so I finally got my hands on these AMAPO boots after seeing mixed reviews. Here's my honest take after wearing them for a couple weeks:
First off, the look is *chef's kiss*. The side zipper makes them super easy to slip on, and they pair perfectly with jeans for that casual-but-put-together vibe. The leather (or should I say 'microfiber leather') looks way more expensive than what I paid.
Comfort-wise? Surprisingly good right out of the box. No blisters or break-in period needed, which is rare for dress boots. The ankle support is decent too - no wobbling when walking.
Now the not-so-great part: The soles feel like walking on cardboard. I can literally feel every pebble on the sidewalk. And that 'durable' claim? My friend's pair started separating after 2 months, so we'll see how mine hold up.
Final verdict: Great for occasional wear when you want to look sharp without spending a fortune. Wouldn't recommend as everyday work boots though. For the price? 7/10 - they get the job done but temper your expectations on longevity.
