Okay, so I got this basketball training mat for my little cousin who's obsessed with basketball. At first glance, it looked pretty legit with its numbered steps and arrows - like some high-tech NBA training gear or something.
The quality is actually solid. It's got this rubbery bottom that doesn't slide around when you're doing drills, which is clutch. My cousin was going ham with his dribbling and the mat stayed put. Plus, it folds up easy into the included bag (yes, mine actually came with one unlike some other reviews mentioned).
But here's the tea - there are ZERO instructions. Like none. Nada. I had to YouTube how to properly use the footstep patterns because apparently you're supposed to follow them in specific sequences? Would've been nice if they included even a basic diagram.
Size-wise, it's decent for individual practice but don't expect to do full-court drills on this thing. Perfect for working on ball control in tight spaces though - if you can handle this mat, you can handle real game pressure.
After two months of use (including being left outside in the rain a few times *oops*), it's held up surprisingly well besides some sun fading. Definitely gets the job done for at-home training without driving neighbors crazy from constant dribbling sounds.
