Okay, so I finally got this badminton set after reading tons of reviews. Here's my honest take after a weekend of testing:
First off - setup was surprisingly easy! The push-button poles locked together in seconds, and the net tension system actually works (unlike some cheaper sets I've tried). The carrying bag is legit sturdy - fits everything without that annoying 'will this zip burst?' feeling.
The rackets? Mixed feelings. They're lightweight aluminum which is great for kids, but the grips are... weird. Like someone molded plastic to vaguely resemble grip tape? My 12-year-old immediately wrapped hers in athletic tape. Not a dealbreaker but c'mon manufacturers!
Now the net itself - super sturdy construction BUT it's way taller than standard badminton nets (30" vs typical 20"). Makes volleying feel like you're playing at Wimbledon lol. Also spotted a small tear near one corner already - hope that doesn't spread.
Biggest letdown? The shuttlecocks are TRASH. All three broke during our first game. At this price point, they could've included at least one decent birdie.
Final verdict: Great for casual backyard play if you're willing to buy better birdies separately. Kids love it, adults can tolerate it, and that carrying case is MVP status.
