Okay, so I finally caved and bought these Soda Glove ankle boots after seeing them ALL over my feed. Here's the real tea ☕
First off - THE LOOK. These are stupid cute. The chunky 3.5" heel gives that perfect edgy-but-wearable vibe, and the lug sole makes me feel like I could stomp through a dystopian novel (while looking fashionable af). The elastic gore sides? Genius for quick on/off when you're running late for brunch.
Now the fit: I'm usually an 8.5 but went with 9 based on reviews - SMART MOVE. With regular socks they fit like a dream, but my thick winter socks make them snug. Wide-foot friends BEWARE though - my bestie with wider feet couldn't even get her foot in comfortably.
Comfort level? Surprisingly good! Walked 5 miles in them first wear (accidentally, thanks GPS) with zero blisters. The insoles are thin though - I added memory foam inserts and now they're cloud-level comfy.
Quality seems decent for the price. Not luxury leather obviously, but the faux suede looks legit. The heel does feel a bit... hollow? Like if I kicked a wall really hard something might break.
Final verdict: If you have narrow-average feet and want trendy boots that won't murder your soles, these are a solid 8/10. Just size up if between sizes and maybe grab some inserts!
