Let's talk about the Broan-NuTone 9815WH wall heater. I installed this in my bathroom, and boy, does it make those chilly mornings bearable! The heat output is impressive - it can take my master bath from 65°F to a toasty 80°F in just 10 minutes. The adjustable thermostat (though unmarked) works like a charm, cycling on/off to maintain temperature.
The installation was surprisingly straightforward, though I did need to widen my wall opening by about half an inch. Pro tip: a masonry blade makes quick work of ceramic tile. The contemporary white grille blends nicely with most decor, though some might find the plastic housing looks a bit cheap in finished spaces.
Now for the not-so-great parts. The fan noise is noticeable - think small window AC unit levels. In my case, vibration against tile caused extra racket until I cushioned it with mounting tape. Also, while Broan's customer service came through when my thermal protector blew (free replacement under warranty), the part would've cost $60 otherwise.
Performance seems inconsistent across users. Mine works great for supplemental heat, but others report weak output even on 220V setups. The unit definitely works best in small spaces - don't expect it to heat large areas effectively.
Bottom line? It's a decent upgrade from older models with good customer support, but temper your expectations regarding noise and heating capacity in larger rooms.
