Okay, so I finally got my hands on this little gadget after seeing mixed reviews. Here's my take after using it for a month in my 10-gallon shrimp tank!
The Good: First off, the L-shaped extension is GENIUS for reaching behind decorations. My lazy cherry shrimp leave so much debris there, and this thing gets it all. The adjustable suction by squeezing harder/softer? Game changer for spot-cleaning without disturbing my substrate.
Feeding Hack: Total game-changer for frozen bloodworms! Used to make such a mess, now I thaw them in tank water and use the dropper to target-feed. My betta goes nuts trying to bite the tube - hilarious to watch!
Annoyances: The extension tube does slip sometimes when I'm really going at algae spots. And yeah, if you hold it vertically upside down, it'll drip. But c'mon people - just keep it angled?
Unexpected Bonus: Works amazing for blowing cyanobacteria off my driftwood! That alone makes it worth the price for me.
Would I buy again? Absolutely - but maybe get the larger version if you've got a big tank. This one's perfect for nano setups though!
