I've been using this 4G LTE USB modem for a few weeks now, and it's been a mixed bag. The compact size is fantastic – it literally fits in my pocket, making it perfect for travel or working remotely at coffee shops. The 3200mAh battery lasts a decent amount of time, and I appreciate that I can charge it through my laptop or car charger.
When it works, the speed is impressive. I've gotten smooth video calls and decent download speeds (though definitely not the full 300Mbps promised). The ability to connect up to 10 devices simultaneously saved me during a group trip when we all needed internet access.
However, setup was frustrating. Like some reviewers mentioned, it's not plug-and-play. I spent nearly an hour figuring out the APN settings (which weren't clearly explained in the manual). The web interface kept kicking me out too, forcing multiple restarts.
The biggest issue? Compatibility. It worked fine with my T-Mobile SIM after tweaking settings, but friends with Google Fi couldn't get it to work at all. If you're not tech-savvy or don't have patience for troubleshooting network settings, this might not be for you.
Bottom line: When configured properly with a compatible carrier, it's a handy portable hotspot. But be prepared for setup headaches and check your carrier compatibility first.
