I've been using the 2025 Mini Projector for about a month now, and it's completely changed my movie nights. The first thing that struck me was how lightweight it is - at just 16×14×18cm, I can literally toss it in my backpack when visiting friends. The matte black finish gives it a premium feel that doesn't show fingerprints.
Setting up took me about 90 seconds flat. I plugged in my Fire Stick via HDMI (the cable was included!), angled the projector using the smooth 180° rotation feature, and did a quick keystone adjustment. The ±50° vertical correction saved me when I had to place it slightly below my projection wall. Image clarity at 1080P is impressive - I watched The Batman and could actually see the texture in Robert Pattinson's leather suit.
Gaming on this is a revelation. Connected to my PS5, the input lag is negligible for casual gaming. When playing Horizon Forbidden West, the 10,000:1 contrast ratio made the machine dinosaurs pop against jungle backgrounds. The fan does get audible during 4K content, but my soundbar (connected via Bluetooth 5.0) usually drowns it out.
What surprised me most was outdoor performance. During a backyard screening of Top Gun: Maverick at dusk, the 12,000 lumens brightness kept colors vibrant even with some ambient light. The included tripod held steady on uneven ground, though I wish it extended higher.
Two quirks: The remote needs AAA batteries (not included), and the USB port only recognized half of my flash drives until I reformatted them to FAT32. But for under $200? This little box delivers theater-quality visuals that make my 65" TV feel cramped.
