Let me start by saying this bike stand has been a lifesaver for my tiny apartment. The Sttoraboks Upright Bike Stand holds my 29" mountain bike vertically, freeing up so much floor space I can actually walk around my living room now!
The assembly was shockingly easy - I had it put together in about 15 minutes with just the included tools. The instructions were visual and clear, though I wish they'd included more details about adjusting the V-shaped brackets for optimal stability.
What really makes this stand special are the locking wheels. I can effortlessly roll my bike from my living room to balcony for cleaning, then lock it in place. The wheels move smoothly on both hardwood and tile, though the locks do require some force to engage (I usually use my foot).
The stand feels surprisingly sturdy with its triangular structure and powder-coated steel frame. My 35lb bike stays perfectly balanced, though I do keep one handlebar lightly touching the wall for extra security. The included velcro strap helps stabilize the front wheel, but I upgraded to a heavier-duty strap for peace of mind.
Two minor complaints: The adjustment instructions could be clearer, and while it's stable enough for daily use, I wouldn't trust it completely freestanding in high-traffic areas or with pets/kids around. That said, at around $40, this is an incredible value that solves urban bike storage problems elegantly.
After three months of daily use (including using it as a makeshift repair stand), I'm convinced this is one of the best purchases I've made for my cycling setup. It's held up perfectly through multiple moves and adjustments. If you're tight on space but want quick access to your bike, this stand delivers where others fall short.
