Okay, so I got these sunflower-themed wooden bookends because they looked adorable in the pics. Super rustic, perfect for my cozy reading nook vibes. But… surprise surprise, reality hit different.

First off – THEY DON’T COME WITH A BASE. Like, at all. Just two wooden sunflower pieces chillin’ in the box. How am I supposed to prop up books with floating sunflowers? Magic? Disappointment level: 100.

The packaging was also wrecked when it arrived – torn up like it went through a wrestling match. Maybe that’s why parts were missing? Either way, not cool for a ‘decorative’ item that’s supposed to ~show off my taste~.

On the bright side: the wood itself is cute! Thick beech with a shabby-chic paint job. If they actually functioned, I’d keep them for my cookbooks. But alas… returning these sad, baseless sunflowers tomorrow.
