Let me start by saying, the WAC Smart Fans Mocha XL is not just a ceiling fan; it's a smart home revolution. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek matte black finish – it adds a modern touch to any room, indoors or out.
The installation was straightforward, though I'll admit, there are quite a few parts to assemble. But once up, this fan is a beast! On high speed, it moves an incredible amount of air – perfect for those sweltering summer days. And the best part? It's whisper-quiet. No more annoying hums or clicks.
The smart features are where this fan truly shines. Pairing it with the WAC app was a breeze (pun intended). Controlling fan speed, setting up breeze mode, or even grouping multiple fans – all from my phone. And yes, Alexa integration works flawlessly. 'Alexa, turn on the fan' never felt so satisfying.
The included LED light kit is surprisingly bright at 1600 lumens, with smooth dimming capabilities. It's more than enough to light up my large living room.
Now for the downsides: The remote control feels a bit cheap compared to the fan's premium build. Also, while the DC motor is super efficient (70% more than traditional fans), I wish it came with a longer downrod option for higher ceilings.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. In fact, I'm already planning to get another one for my bedroom. At this price point with these features and quality, it's hard to beat.
