Let me start by saying this Christmas tree fence looks adorable in photos. The white picket design gives off major holiday vibes, and I was excited to try it out with my hyperactive golden retriever and curious toddler.
The assembly truly is a breeze - the snap-together design works exactly as advertised. Within two minutes, I had a perfect circle around our tree. The lightweight panels make rearranging super easy too.
However, the height is extremely disappointing. At barely 12 inches tall, my dog could easily step right over it (and did during testing). The product images make it appear much taller - I'd estimate they're using some serious camera angles to exaggerate the size.
Sturdiness is another issue. While the material feels decently thick, the whole structure wobbles if you so much as brush against it. My toddler managed to knock over multiple sections just by walking nearby - definitely not the 'sturdy barrier' promised.
The versatility in shapes is nice though. We tried a wavy pattern that looked cute around our tree skirt, and the panels held their shape well when undisturbed.
Final verdict? It's more of a decorative accent than an actual barrier. If you have very small pets or just want something pretty around your tree base, it might work. But for actual protection from medium/large dogs or determined kids? Save your money for something more substantial.
