The blue backlight display is crisp and easy to read - no squinting required even at night. I installed it myself in about 20 minutes, and that includes the time I spent double-checking the wiring.

The dual power option is genius - you can use either batteries or 24VAC power. In my case, I went with AA batteries since my older HVAC system doesn't have a C-wire. The flip-down battery compartment is such a thoughtful design touch compared to thermostats where you have to remove the whole unit.
