Okay, so I finally caved and bought these Peru Pima sheets after seeing all the hype. Here's my real talk review after sleeping on them for a month.
First impression? They came packaged like a luxury gift - major points there. The ivory color is exactly as pictured, no weird off-white situation.
The feel is that perfect hotel crispness I was craving. That first night was magical - cool, breathable, and just the right weight. My partner (who usually sleeps hot) didn't wake up sweating for once!
Now the not-so-great: After washing (following instructions carefully!), they came out looking like I balled them up and sat on them for a week. The shrinkage was noticeable too - my mattress isn't even that thick but now the fitted sheet barely tucks.
Surprise twist though? After about 5 washes they've actually gotten softer while keeping that crisp percale feel. The wrinkles aren't as extreme if I take them out slightly damp.
Final verdict: Would I buy again at full price? Maybe not. But now that they're broken in? I'm kinda obsessed with how they feel to sleep on. Just don't expect that 'fresh from the package' perfection to last.
