Okay, so I finally caved and got the Switch OLED after debating for weeks. Here's my honest take!
First off, that 7" OLED screen is GORGEOUS. Colors pop like crazy compared to my old Switch. Playing Metroid Dread felt like a whole new experience—those deep blacks make handheld mode way more immersive.
The battery life shocked me too. I marathon-played Breath of the Wild for like 5 hours straight and still had juice left. My launch-day Switch would've died twice in that time.
BUT (and this is a big but) if you already own a V2 Switch and mostly play docked? Probably not worth upgrading unless you're a tech nerd like me who obsesses over screen quality.
The new kickstand is lowkey amazing though—no more wobbly tabletop sessions! And the white Joy-Cons look slick (though they'll probably get dirty fast knowing me).
Final verdict: If you're buying your first Switch or play handheld A LOT, 100% go OLED. Otherwise, maybe wait for the next big upgrade.
