Okay, so I just got this case for my new Kindle Fire HD 10 (2023 model) and I have THOUGHTS.
First off – the fit is PERFECT. Like, scary perfect. Snaps right into place with that satisfying *click* and doesn’t budge. But heads up – it ONLY fits the 2023 model! My friend tried putting her older Kindle in it and… yeah that was awkward.
The PU leather feels way nicer than I expected? Like, it’s got this soft matte finish that doesn’t show fingerprints (hallelujah). The inside is lined with this velvety microfiber that makes me weirdly want to pet my tablet?
BIG WIN: The auto wake/sleep feature works flawlessly. Open the cover – screen lights up. Close it – goodnight tablet. The magnets are STRONG though – sometimes takes two hands to open which feels dramatic.
The stand feature is genius for binge-watching. Two angles actually WORK (unlike some cases where the tablet just flops over). Though fair warning – it only stands in portrait mode, not landscape.
Only weird thing? It opens like a book would (spine on the left). Took me a day to stop trying to open it upside down. Now I feel fancy reading left-handed like some Victorian scholar.
For the price? 10/10 would recommend to any bookworm with a new Kindle Fire HD 10. Just maybe don’t try to share it with friends who have older models *side-eye*.
