I was stoked to try out the Stompgrip Premium Snowboard Stomp Pad, especially with its cool 3D design and promises of superior traction. The installation seemed straightforward—followed the video, cleaned my board thoroughly, and pressed it on firmly. Felt like I did everything right.
But here’s the kicker: first run down the mountain, and *poof*—the stomp pad was gone. Like, vanished. I didn’t even get to test its grip on icy lift lines or one-foot landings. Just a sad, sticky residue where it used to be.
The design itself is sleek (loved the Nodehead artwork), and the rounded edges did seem like they’d avoid snagging. But if it can’t survive one day of riding, what’s the point? Maybe I got a dud with weak adhesive, but for a 'premium' product made in the USA, I expected better.
If you’re risking your balance without a stomp pad in flats, this might not be your savior—unless you enjoy playing 'Where’s Waldo?' with gear on the slopes.
