Just got my hands on the Zerex DEX-COOL coolant and wanted to share my thoughts. First off, it's a Valvoline product, which gives me some confidence since I've used their oils before.
The specs look solid - no phosphates or silicates, 5-year/150k mile protection, and meets GM standards. I put it in my '18 Terrain as recommended and it's been running smoothly so far.
BUT... here's the issue. I ordered a case of six and only received five! And get this - the containers were all crushed during shipping with one leaking everywhere. Lost about half a quart of coolant before I even got to use it.
Price-wise, it's a good deal if you actually get what you pay for. Just be warned about potential shipping problems. Maybe order from somewhere with better packaging?
Pro tip: Always check your owner's manual first to make sure this is the right coolant for your vehicle!
