Okay, so I finally caved and tried these ZESAKER progressive glasses after seeing them everywhere. As someone who's been using basic readers for years, I was skeptical but curious.
First off - the adjustment period is REAL. Took me about 10 days to stop feeling slightly dizzy when looking around. But once my eyes adapted? Mind. Blown. Being able to see my phone clearly AND recognize people across the room without switching glasses is life-changing.
The blue light blocking is legit too. My late-night Instagram scrolling sessions don't leave my eyes feeling like sandpaper anymore. And the oversized frames? Surprisingly flattering on my round face (was worried they'd look too big).
Not perfect though - the distance vision at the top isn't crystal clear like regular glasses, but it's good enough for everyday stuff. For $30 though? Way better than the $200 progressives at my optometrist.
Pro tip: Order a strength lower than you think you need! I normally use +2.5 readers but got these in +2.0 and they're perfect since the progression adds some magnification.
