Just got the AQQA automatic fish feeder for my aquarium, and it's been a mixed bag so far. The setup was super easy – just twist the knob to mount it on the tank, and you're good to go. I love that it has four timer modes (8H/12H/24H/48H), which is perfect for my weekend trips.
But here's the thing: the food container feels a bit loose. I had to use some tape to secure it because I was worried about spills. Also, the lowest setting still dispenses quite a bit of food, so my fish were getting overfed at first. Took some trial and error to get it right.
The lack of a low-battery indicator is a bummer. I have no idea how long the batteries will last, and that’s kinda stressful when you're away for days. Still, for short trips, this thing is a lifesaver – just make sure to test it before you leave!
Oh, and pro tip: if you're using larger pellets or flakes, this might not be the best fit. It works great with small pellets though. Overall, solid but with some quirks.
