Just installed the Rx Clear Ultimate Niagara pump for my inground pool, and here's my honest take after a month of use.
First off, the see-through strainer lid is a game-changer! No more guessing when to clean the basket – super convenient for maintenance.
The corrosion-proof design seems solid. We've had some heavy rain, and everything still looks brand new. The brass impeller inserts give me confidence in its longevity.
However... The fittings issue is real. Like others mentioned, I had to swap them out with Lowe's PVC fittings to stop leaks. Annoying extra step for a new pump.
Performance-wise, it's been great – quiet operation and keeps my 25,000-gallon pool crystal clear. The 56 frame was easy to identify by measuring as described.
A word of warning: Some users reported warranty nightmares. Mine's been fine so far, but I'm keeping all documentation just in case based on others' experiences.
The voltage options (115/230V) made installation flexible for my setup. Came factory set at 230V which worked perfectly with my existing system.
Would I recommend? Yes... but with caveats about the fittings and being extra careful with warranty claims if issues arise.
