Okay, so I finally caved and bought this Loncaster phone holder after my third cheapo Amazon mount failed spectacularly during a road trip. Spoiler: This thing is a GAME CHANGER.
The silicone base is like magic – sticks to my slightly curved dashboard like it's superglued, but leaves zero residue when I reposition it (which I've done like 5 times already because I'm indecisive). My iPhone 14 Pro with its chunky OtterBox case fits perfectly in the slot.
Major win: It survived both my emergency brake test AND my boyfriend's 'off-road' shortcut through a construction zone. Phone didn't even wobble! The textured bottom grips so well I could probably stick it to my ceiling if I wanted to (don't tempt me).
Pro tip: Wash the sticky pad with water when dust accumulates – mine got gross after two months of summer road trips but came back to life after a quick rinse. Only con? Wish it rotated vertically for portrait mode navigation, but honestly the stability trade-off is worth it.
10/10 would recommend to anyone tired of their phone becoming a projectile during left turns. Just make sure your dashboard has about a 5x5" flat spot!
