Just installed the Whirlaway 191 to replace my old unit, and wow - what a difference! The installation was surprisingly straightforward, though I did have to redo it once (more on that later).

The power is impressive for a 1/3HP unit. It chews through food waste like nobody's business. What really shocked me was how QUIET it is compared to my previous disposal - first time I turned it on, I thought it wasn't working!

Pro tip: If you're connecting a dishwasher, DON'T forget to knock out that plug in the disposal flange. Learned that the hard way when my dishwasher wouldn't drain properly. Had to reinstall everything once I figured that out.

At this price point, I wasn't expecting much, but this little workhorse has proven me wrong. Definitely recommend for anyone needing an affordable, reliable replacement unit.
