Okay, so I finally got my hands on this 4K SteelBook edition of *The Last Dragon*, and wow—what a blast from the past!
First off, the packaging is *chef’s kiss*. The SteelBook design is sleek, and it comes with the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, AND a digital copy. Total win for collectors.
The movie itself? Pure 80’s magic. Taimak as Bruce Leroy is iconic—dude’s got the martial arts skills and the wholesome vibes. And Sho’nuff? Absolute scene-stealer. "Who’s the master?" Still echoing in my head.
The plot’s wild: martial arts quest + music video drama + gangster shenanigans. Somehow it all works? The campy tone, the fights, the soundtrack—it’s like someone mixed Motown with a Bruce Lee flick and sprinkled in comedy.
PQ/AQ on this 4K transfer? Surprisingly crisp! Colors pop, grain is minimal but present (in a good way), and that final glow-up scene? *Stunning*.
Downside? Still no Dutch subs (RIP my European pals), but hey—English audio/subtitles saved me.
Verdict: If you love martial arts films with heart, humor, and a side of cheese, this is a must-own. Now excuse me while I rewatch that final showdown… again.
