Installing the Kasa KS240 was surprisingly easy, even for someone who isn't an electrician. The app-guided setup walked me through every step, and within minutes, I had my ceiling fan and lights connected to my smart home system.

The touch controls are intuitive - just slide your finger up or down to adjust fan speed or light brightness. I love how responsive they are, though I did accidentally brush against them a few times when walking by.

Integration with Apple HomeKit was seamless in my experience. Being able to say 'Hey Siri, set the fan to medium' while lying in bed is incredibly convenient. The separate controls for fan and light in the Home app make it easy to create customized scenes.

One thing that surprised me was how warm the switch gets during operation - not alarmingly hot, but noticeably warmer than traditional switches. The LED indicators are bright (maybe too bright at night), but you can adjust their brightness in the app.

The four fan speeds offer good range, though I noticed like other reviewers that there's a big jump from level 3 to full speed. It's perfect for gentle breezes but could use more granular control at higher speeds.

After two weeks of use, I've had zero connectivity issues despite some other reviewers reporting problems. The switch has been rock-solid on my 2.4GHz network and responds instantly to both app commands and voice control through HomeKit.

My only real complaint is that the wiring box gets crowded quickly - fitting all the wires back in was like solving a puzzle. But once installed, this smart switch has completely transformed how I interact with my ceiling fan.
