Let me start by saying, these Under Armour shorts are a game-changer for my workouts. The lightweight woven fabric feels amazing against the skin, and the sweat-wicking technology actually works – no more uncomfortable dampness during intense sessions.
The 5" length is just right – not too short to feel exposed, not too long to get in the way. I especially appreciate how they show off leg muscles without being restrictive. The open hand pockets are deep enough to securely hold my phone, which is a huge plus when I'm running or at the gym.
However, I do agree with some reviewers about the lack of stretch in the fabric. While they're comfortable for most activities, deep squats can feel slightly restrictive. Also worth noting – there's no liner, so you'll need to choose your underwear carefully (I recommend moisture-wicking briefs).
The recycled polyester material makes me feel good about my purchase from an environmental standpoint. After multiple washes, they've held up perfectly – no fading or pilling whatsoever.
If you're between sizes or have thicker thighs, consider sizing up. While the waistband is comfortably wide and thick (with a handy drawcord), some might find the leg openings slightly snug.
For runners, weightlifters, or anyone who values performance shorts that don't sacrifice style – these are absolutely worth trying. I've already bought two pairs in different colors and plan to get more!
