Okay, so I just finished The Housemaid's Secret and WOW. Freida McFadden did it again! This sequel is just as addictive as the first book, maybe even better?
Millie is back with her chaotic-good energy, getting herself into another mess to help someone in trouble. I love how she's this unlikely hero with a dark past—so complex and relatable in her own way.
The plot twists had me gasping out loud (my roommate definitely thinks I'm crazy now). Just when you think you've figured it out, BAM—another curveball. That ending? Did NOT see that coming.
While you could read this as a standalone, I'd recommend starting with The Housemaid first. Both books are wild rides, but seeing Millie's journey makes this one hit harder.
Only complaint? Now I'm desperate for book three! When does it come out?? 5/5 stars for sure.
