I was excited to upgrade my home office with the PPE S25A Coilbind Machine, especially with the promise of adjustable margins and included coils. The idea of binding my own documents seemed like a game-changer.
Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to frustration. Right out of the box, I could tell something was off. The machine felt flimsy - not at all like the sturdy office equipment I expected. When I lifted it, I heard something rattling inside.
The worst part? A crucial metal punching component was loose in the packaging. When I tried to test it on some standard printer paper, one hole consistently wouldn't punch because that piece had already detached. It's not just inconvenient - it makes the machine completely unusable for its intended purpose.
The included crimper and coils seem decent quality, but they're useless without a functioning binding machine. Now I'm stuck dealing with returns instead of enjoying my new organizational tool.
While the concept and features sounded great on paper, the actual build quality and shipping protection were severely lacking in my experience. Maybe I just got a lemon, but first impressions matter - and this one missed the mark completely.
