As someone who's tried multiple incontinence products, I have mixed feelings about Depend Protection with Tabs. The maximum absorbency claim holds true - I've worn them overnight without leaks, and the liquid-to-gel technology really does control odors effectively.
The six EasyGrip tabs provide a secure fit that stays in place during movement. I appreciate how they allow for adjustments when checking wound dressings (though resticking only works once). The plastic backing isn't discreet under thin clothing, but the high waistband prevents embarrassing back leaks when sitting.
Where these fall short is in the tape quality. During changes, I've had tabs tear off completely or refuse to stick properly. The sizing runs large - my 38" waist swims in the Large size. They're also noticeably noisier than premium brands.
For caregivers, these are practical despite flaws. The wetness indicator works well for scheduling changes, and the affordable price makes them good backups when preferred brands are unavailable. Just keep medical tape handy for reinforcement.
