BUT... that PVC stiffness other reviewers mentioned? YUP. First week was like wrestling an alligator trying to snap them closed. Pro tip: leave them unbuttoned with heavy books inside to loosen up.

Durability seems decent - survived two subway trips and a coffee spill so far. The front pocket fits my iPad perfectly which is clutch for digital reference images.
