Okay, so I finally got my hands on these Dr. Scholl's Astir booties and here's the tea ☕
First off, MAJOR props for being made from recycled plastic bottles 👏 The faux suede looks legit and that 1-inch block heel is perfect for my 'I wanna be comfy but still look cute' days.
Comfort level? Actually pretty great! The anti-microbial insole is a lifesaver for all-day wear. I wore these running errands for hours with zero complaints (which never happens with new shoes).
BUT... sizing seems to be a gamble. Some reviewers say they run true to size while others had to return them. Personally, I'd say they run slightly narrow - my wide feet needed a day to break them in.
The side zipper makes them super easy to slip on/off, though one reviewer mentioned it rubs against their ankle bone weirdly. Haven't had that issue myself.
Biggest surprise? How lightweight they are! You'd never guess they're made from recycled materials.
Final verdict: 4/5 stars - would be perfect if the sizing was more consistent across styles. Definitely keeping mine though!
