Let me start by saying this epoxy pigment paste is SERIOUSLY pigmented. I used just 3 tiny scoops (with the included spoon) in 1.5 gallons of deep pour resin, and it transformed the whole batch into a vibrant, opaque masterpiece. The color payoff is insane - way better than most powder pigments I've tried.
The convenience factor is huge here. The compact container with built-in spoon makes mixing so much easier than messy powders. I love being able to precisely control how much pigment I add - though warning: a little goes a LONG way! When making resin jewelry last week, one scoop was almost too much for my small batch.
However... packaging quality seems hit or miss. My first order arrived perfectly sealed, but the replacement (after I ran out) had dried gunk around the rim and looked tampered with. Such a bummer when you're mid-project! Pro tip: film yourself unboxing in case you need to file a claim.
The ultra-opaque formula is fantastic for solid color pieces, but not ideal if you're doing translucent effects or want to showcase embedded objects. For my river table project, I had to use literally just half a scoop to maintain some wood grain visibility.
Despite some quality control issues, when you get a good jar, this stuff performs amazingly well. The rich color stays vibrant even after curing, doesn't fade in sunlight like cheaper pigments, and mixes beautifully with other colors. Just be prepared to potentially deal with some customer service if your shipment arrives messy.
