Okay, so I've been using this QTTYELOK smart lock system for about a month now, and I have some THOUGHTS.
First off, the good stuff: The installation was surprisingly easy (though I'm pretty handy). The IP68 waterproof rating gives me peace of mind since it's on my back door. The dual-frequency reader works great with both my phone and key fob.
The Tuya app is... interesting. When it works, it's magical - adding users remotely is super convenient. But when it doesn't (which happens more than I'd like), it's frustrating as hell. Like why does it disconnect when my phone is literally in my pocket?
The electric bolt lock itself feels sturdy, but I've noticed it sometimes hesitates before releasing. Not ideal when you're carrying groceries in the rain. Also, that admin password situation? Yeah... wish there was better documentation.
Would I recommend it? Maybe with caveats. If you're tech-savvy and patient with connectivity issues, it's a decent budget option. But if you need rock-solid reliability 24/7, keep looking.
