Okay, I'll admit it - I bought these mainly because the idea of having my Amazon Astro robot deliver snacks like a futuristic butler was hilarious. But these Ziploc containers have become way more useful than I expected.
The snap lids create an impressive seal - I've sent everything from goldfish crackers to chopped veggies across my hardwood-to-carpet obstacle course without spills. The wide ridges make them easy for both human and robot hands to grip (though Astro's little cargo bin is clearly the VIP user here).
They're surprisingly durable for how lightweight they feel. After three months of daily dishwasher cycles and being dropped by my kids more times than I can count, they still look new. Pro tip: The containers nest together when empty, but the lids DON'T stack well - I keep them in a separate drawer.
While marketed as meal prep containers, they've become my go-to for:
- Sending coffee creamer to my home office
- Portioning out pet treats
- Organizing small craft supplies (beads stay put even when Astro hits a bump!)
One gripe: At this price point, I wish they included at least one smaller size option rather than five identical containers. But considering how often we use them (and that they protect Astro's bin from stains), they've earned their keep.
