Just installed the Sacubee D-shape seal on my RV slide-out, and here’s the tea ☕️.
The Good: This thing is THICC. Like, ‘no-dust-or-noise-is-getting-past-me’ thick. The EPDM rubber feels premium, and after 3 months, it hasn’t cracked despite wild temperature swings (shoutout to Arizona summers). Cut it with kitchen scissors like butter—super easy to customize.
The Meh: That self-adhesive tape? More like self-disappointment tape. On my fiberglass surface (cleaned with alcohol!), it peeled faster than a bad sticker. Had to bust out the heavy-duty weatherstrip adhesive—now it’s stuck like my cat to a warm laptop.
Pro Tip: If yours arrives looking like a tangled slinky (thanks, questionable packaging!), dunk it in hot water for 5 mins to relax the kinks. Saved mine from being a lost cause!
Final verdict? 4/5 stars—just budget for extra glue if your surface isn’t perfectly smooth. Works miracles on metal truck doors though!
