Just installed this 5mm PE foam + aluminum mat in my '67 Dodge and WOW – it's like someone turned down the volume knob on road noise! The 34-piece set (15.7"x9.8" each) covered my roof perfectly. Pro tip: Use upholstery adhesive before sticking – these thick (197mil!) panels stay PUT.
THE GOOD: Crazy sticky backing (seriously, test-fit first!), scissors-cut easily, and that aluminum finish looks slick. Noticed immediate noise reduction from wind/rain – though hardcore bass might need butyl mats instead. At -40°C~149°C range, my Arizona RV engine cover hasn't melted yet!
WATCH OUT: Too spongy for floors (I'd layer it over butyl). Fire resistance isn't clearly rated – maybe keep away from exhaust areas? One user mentioned gaps between pieces; I solved this with matching aluminum tape for a seamless look.
BOTTOM LINE: For $[price], this is MVP material if you hate highway drone but don't want heavy dynamat. 4/5 stars – loses one for being TOO sticky (peel carefully!)
