I recently got my hands on the Baltic Day 24-pigment paste set for epoxy resin projects, and while the colors are absolutely stunning, there are some quirks you should know about.

The first thing that struck me was how tiny the jars are—much smaller than expected. If you're used to working with standard mica powder containers, these will feel like samples. You'll definitely need a small tool (like a toothpick or tiny spatula) to scoop out the thick paste since regular craft sticks won’t fit.

On the bright side, the pigment quality is impressive. A little goes a long way—just a pea-sized drop creates intense, opaque colors in resin. I loved how the gold and turquoise shades popped in my ocean-themed coasters. The thickness helps create beautiful lacing effects for 'beach wave' designs.

However, consistency varies jar-to-jar. My set had a few nearly empty ones and two with dried clumps that refused to mix smoothly (RIP that batch of resin). Shaking vigorously helped revive some separated pigments, but it's frustrating when you're mid-project.

The color range is fantastic for custom blends—mixing their cyan paste with gold mica powder created an amazing metallic teal. Just don’t expect full coverage from one jar; darker shades like black required half the bottle for true opacity in deep-pour pieces.

Storage tip: Screw lids on tightly! A couple arrived loose, risking spills. While I’ll keep using this set for small accent details, I’d recommend it cautiously—check each jar upon arrival and have backup tools handy.
